Con J. Murphy (Butte AOH Division 1)

Also known as: Con Murphy

family confidence: 0 — not family / context

Not Con Murphy of Cork (d. 1944; person_con_murphy_jr_d1944_cork) nor the 'Con Murphy' of an 1884 Butte testimonial (not linked). Division 1's letterhead of 15 Oct 1914 names 'CON J. MURPHY, Treas.' (Butte-Silver Bow Public Archives papers and Butte Independent OCR snippets, read in Sept 2026; research notes, not filed sources). The metadata notes' guess that he was one of 'Tady' Murphy's Butte children rests on the 1992 letter's framework, which the archive disfavours; nothing in these sources ties him to James's family.
