Summary

Joe Murphy's emails of 16-20 Apr 2026 built a case that Patrick Murphy was the Patrick baptised 7 Apr 1850 at Ballycrovane, son of James Murphy and Margaret Harrington, with siblings Kate (1846, to James Murphy and Mary Leary), Daniel and Michael. Read on 26 Sept 2026, the five printouts support less than the emails claimed: 1. Kate Murphy, baptised "N/R November 1846": parish KILMICHAEL (Cork and Ross), father James Murphy, mother "MARY -" (no surname), sponsors James Murphy and "JUDE -", record CR-RC-BA-189462. Not Eyeries, and the mother is not shown as Leary. The 30 Jan 1834 marriage of James Murphy and Mary Leary that Joe describes is not among the images. 2. Michael Murphy, baptised 28 May 1864, BALLYCROVANE, Eyeries: father "JAMES NR", mother MARGARET HARRINGTON, sponsors Bartholomew NR and Mary NR, priest Michael O'Reilly; Eyeries 3, p. 13, no. 8; KY-RC-BA-230035. Matches Riobard's "(6) Michael (May 1864)". Filed separately as 1864-05-28_eyeries-co-cork_michael-murphy-baptism-ballycrovane-james-murphy-margaret-harrington. 3. Daniel Murphy, born 5 Jan 1853, baptised "10 N/R 1853", RUSSMACOWEN, parish CASTLETOWNBERE: father James Murphy, mother MARGARET MURPHY, sponsors Denis Sullivan and Mary Sullivann; KY-RC-BA-160111. Not a child of Margaret Harrington. A Murphy couple, James and Margaret Murphy, at Rossmacowen in 1853 is close to Riobard's "Paddy ... went to Rosmacowen and married Margaret Murphy Cuardonoghue" and to Paddy Mor Murphy and Margaret Murphy of Bank, whose first child was a Dan; which family this record belongs to is unresolved. 4. Civil marriage of Patrick Sullivan and Catherine Murphy, 24 NOVEMBER 1864, Superintendent Registrar's District of CORK (group registration 2999649): a different couple from the Patrick (Tailor) Sullivan and Catherine Murphy of Fawnkil married at Eyeries on 23 Feb 1884 (already filed from the civil record). 5. James Murphy, born 26 July 1883, baptised 29 July 1883, SLEAVE, Eyeries: father "PATRICK NR", mother HELEN LYNE, sponsors Michael and Catherine Murphy, priest J O'Connell; book E 4, p. 87, no. 5; KY-RC-BA-232395. James J. Murphy's baptism, adding the register reference to the 1971 certificate already filed. Net effect on the parentage question: Joe's Michael (1864) is genuine register support for the Seamus Mor family; his Kate, Daniel and 1884-marriage exhibits do not bear on it as described. See research/docs/beara-kin-thread-2026-09-26.md section 4.

--- newspaper: irishgenealogy.ie index pages (Joe Murphy's printouts) date: 2026-04 page: five printouts --- # Joe Murphy's record photos of April 2026: transcription Transcribed 2026-09-26 from five JPEG attachments on three emails from Joe Murphy (Montana), 15 and 19 April 2026. Joe sent them while looking for the Irish baptism of his great-grandfather Patrick Murphy of Eyeries parish (b. 1850 or 1858; married Ellen Lyne 1881; emigrated to Butte). Every JPEG is stored as 2856 x 2142 with EXIF orientation 6. Each was turned upright (2142 x 2856, portrait), read whole, then cropped and enlarged with PIL in the session scratchpad to check small type. Rules used here: verbatim spelling, capitals and punctuation as shown; `[?]` = uncertain reading; `[clipped]` = cut off by the frame. Anything not shown on the image is marked **Inference**. Joe's descriptions of the records (from his emails and the manifest) are his claims and are checked against what each image actually shows. Source attachments (`_inbox/beara-attachments-2026-09-26/`, see `MANIFEST.md` there): | # | Gmail id | Date | Email (manifest description) | File | |---|---|---|---|---| | 1 | 19d94a3e7b3ebed0 | 2026-04-15 | "Re: can you see this?" The page is not a screenshot. The page is an **irishgenealogy.ie church-records detail page**, a **typed transcription (index) table, not a register image**. The site banner reads "Irish Genealogy.ie / EXPLORE YOUR FAMILY HISTORY". The nav bar reads: Home (Welcome!) | Church Records (To Church Records site) | Civil Records (To Civil Records site) | Research (Get Help) | Useful Links (Other sites of interest) | News (and Updates) | Feedback (Contact Us) | 2016 (Family History). The footer reads: Home / Site Usage Policy / Privacy Policy / Feedback. The browser's print footer: > https://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/...26namel8%3D%26namel9%3D%26keyword%3D%26event%3DB > 10/15/20, 9:25 AM > Page 1 of 2 - Record reference: **Record_Identifier CR-RC-BA-189462**. Image filename: **cork & ross.kilmichael.p4797.00506**. Book number, page and entry number are all "N/R". - **Inference:** the print date "10/15/20" is US order, so 15 October 2020. The printout is five and a half years older than the email. `event%3DB` in the URL is `event=B`, a baptism search. - The photo shows **only page 1 of 2**. Page 2 is not in this image. The page has a link ("View the church register page containing this record."), but the register image itself is not shown. - **The 1834 marriage of James Murphy and Mary Leary does not appear in this image.** Only the 1846 Kate Murphy baptism does. ### (b) Verbatim transcription > **Area - CORK & ROSS (RC) , Parish/Church/Congregation - KILMICHAEL** > Baptism of KATE MURPHY of N/R on N/R November 1846 > Back to search results > > | | | > |---|---| > | Name | KATE MURPHY | > | Date of Birth | N/R N/R N/R | > | Address | N/R | > | Father | JAMES MURPHY | > | Mother | MARY - | > > **Further details in the record** > > | | | > |---|---| > | Sponsor 1 | JAMES MURPHY | > | Sponsor 2 | JUDE - | > | Recorded Parochial Area | KILMICHAEL | > > **About the record** > > | Book Number | Page | Entry Number | Record_Identifier | Image Filename | > |---|---|---|---|---| > | N/R | N/R | N/R | CR-RC-BA-189462 | cork & ross.kilmichael.p4797.00506 | > > View the church register page containing this record. > You will need Adobe Reader to view this image. Checked at full resolution: "MARY -" and "JUDE -" are printed with a space and a hyphen after the forename and **no surname**. The URL fragment reads "namel9" (lower-case L), not "name19". ### (c) Baptism details as shown - **Child:** KATE MURPHY. - **Baptism date:** "N/R November 1846". The day is not recorded. Date of birth: "N/R N/R N/R". - **Parents:** Father **JAMES MURPHY**; Mother **"MARY -"**. **No surname is shown for the mother. The image does not say "Leary".** - **Sponsors:** JAMES MURPHY; "JUDE -" (no surname). - **Townland/address:** "N/R" (none recorded). - **Parish:** **KILMICHAEL**, in the **CORK & ROSS (RC)** area (diocese). Recorded Parochial Area: KILMICHAEL. Notes (inference, not printed): - **Inference:** the parish shown is Kilmichael in the RC Diocese of Cork & Ross. That parish lies in mid-Cork, in the Macroom/Dunmanway district. Eyeries and the rest of Beara belong to the RC Diocese of Kerry. So this record, as indexed, is **not from Eyeries parish**. Joe's reading that it is a baptism "to James Murphy and Mary Leary" of Eyeries is not supported by this image. The mother's surname is blank, and nothing links this James and Mary to Beara. - **Inference:** "N/R" is the site's code for a field that is not recorded. - Checking the register image named in "cork & ross.kilmichael.p4797.00506" would show whether the original entry gives the mother's surname or a townland. ### (d) Confidence **High** for the transcription. The printed type is clear, and every field was checked in enlarged crops. The only soft spot is the print-footer URL, which the browser truncated to "...". **Low** for Joe's identification of the record: nothing in it (parish, diocese, blank maternal surname, no address) ties it to James Murphy and Mary Leary of Eyeries. --- ## Image 2: `joe-2026-04-19-part3/image2.jpeg` (email "Part #3", 19 Apr 2026) ### (a) What it is A phone photograph of a **paper printout of an irishgenealogy.ie church-records detail page**, lying on a brown cloth surface. It is a **typed transcription (index) table, not a register image**. The banner area at the top is blank (the site's header graphic did not print). The nav bar reads: Home (Welcome!) | Church Records (To Church Records site) | Research in Ireland (Get Help) | Useful Links (Other sites of interest) | News (and Updates) | Feedback (Contact Us). This is an **older layout than image 1's**: there is no "Civil Records" or "2016" tab, and "Research in Ireland" replaces "Research". The footer reads: Home / Site Usage Policy / Privacy Policy / Feedback. Below it, very faint, is the department logo: "An Roinn / Ealaíon, Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta[?] / Department of / Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht[?]". - **There is no browser print footer: no URL, no print date, no page count.** - Record reference: **Book Number "Eyeries 3", Page 13, Entry Number 8, Record_Identifier KY-RC-BA-230035.** - The page states: "The church register page containing this record has not yet been imaged." **No register image was available to the site when this page was printed.** - **Inference:** civil records were added to irishgenealogy.ie in 2016, and the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht carried that name from 2011 to 2016. With no Civil Records tab and that department logo, the printout probably dates from about 2011 to 2016, some years before image 1's print of Oct 2020. This is not certain: the logo alone does not date the print. ### (b) Verbatim transcription > **Area - KERRY (RC) , Parish/Church/Congregation - EYERIES** > Baptism of MICHAEL MURPHY of BALLYCROVANE on 28 May 1864 > Back to search results > > | | | > |---|---| > | Name | MICHAEL MURPHY | > | Date of Birth | 28 May 1864 (BASED ON OTHER DATE INFORMATION) | > | Address | BALLYCROVANE | > | Father | JAMES NR | > | Mother | MARGARET HARRINGTON | > > **Further details in the record** > > | | | > |---|---| > | Father Occupation | NR | > | Sponsor 1 | BARTHOLOMEW NR | > | Sponsor 2 | MARY NR | > | Priest | MICHAEL O'REILLY | > > **About the record** > > | Book Number | Page | Entry Number | Record_Identifier | > |---|---|---|---| > | Eyeries 3 | 13 | 8 | KY-RC-BA-230035 | > > The church register page containing this record has not yet been imaged. > Report any error in transcription. Checked at full resolution: all values above are sharp, including "28 May 1864", "KY-RC-BA-230035", "Eyeries 3 / 13 / 8" and "MICHAEL O'REILLY" (with an apostrophe). ### (c) Baptism details as shown - **Child:** MICHAEL MURPHY. - **Baptism date:** **28 May 1864** (the heading "Baptism of ... on 28 May 1864"). The date of birth field repeats 28 May 1864 with the note "(BASED ON OTHER DATE INFORMATION)". - **Parents:** Father **"JAMES NR"**. As transcribed, the father's surname is not recorded; the child's surname MURPHY is the only Murphy on the page. Mother **"MARGARET HARRINGTON"**. - **Sponsors:** "BARTHOLOMEW NR"; "MARY NR" (no surnames recorded). - **Priest:** MICHAEL O'REILLY. Father's occupation: NR. - **Townland/address:** **BALLYCROVANE**. - **Parish:** **EYERIES**, **KERRY (RC)** diocese. Notes (inference, not printed): - **Inference:** "NR" in this layout means not recorded. The Kerry transcriptions often leave the father's surname blank when it matches the child's, so "JAMES NR" is most likely James Murphy. The page does not say so. - This is one of the two baptisms Joe described (Michael). The **Daniel** baptism is not on this image. Nothing on this page mentions a Patrick or the date 7 April 1850. - **Inference:** "Ballycruane" in Joe's description (the 7 Apr 1850 Patrick) is probably this Ballycrovane. ### (d) Confidence **High** for the transcription. The type is clear and every field was checked in enlarged crops. The only uncertain words are the faint department logo, which does not affect the record. The father's surname is **not shown**: reading "JAMES NR" as James Murphy is an inference. --- ## Image 3: `joe-2026-04-19-part3/image3.jpeg` (email "Part #3", 19 Apr 2026) ### (a) What it is A phone photograph of a **paper printout of an irishgenealogy.ie church-records detail page** (green colour scheme), lying on a brown cloth surface. It is a **typed transcription (index) table, not a register image**. The banner area is blank (the header graphic did not print). The nav bar reads: Home (Welcome!) | Church Records (To Church Records site) | Civil Records (To Civil Records site) | Research in Ireland (Get Help) | Useful Links (Other sites of interest) | News (and Updates) | Feedback (Contact Us). The footer reads: Home / Site Usage Policy / Privacy Policy / Feedback. - **There is no browser print footer: no URL, no print date, no page count.** - Record reference: **Book Number 3, Page N/R, Entry Number 8, Record_Identifier KY-RC-BA-160111.** - The page states: "The church register page containing this record has not yet been imaged." - **Show-through:** faint, non-mirrored ghost text from **another sheet lying beneath this one** shows through the paper: "...THOLOMEW NR", "...HAEL O'REILLY", "About the record", the column headings, "8", "KY-RC-BA-2300[?]5" and "...containing this record has not yet been imaged." It also shows a faint "...TON" just right of the Mother value. These match the **Michael Murphy 1864 page (image 2)**, which was evidently under this sheet when it was photographed. **The ghost text is not part of this record.** In particular, the "...TON" beside "MARGARET MURPHY" is show-through of "HARRINGTON" from the sheet below. - **Inference:** this page's nav bar has a Civil Records tab and image 2's does not, so the two Part #3 printouts were probably made at different times. ### (b) Verbatim transcription > **Area - KERRY (RC) , Parish/Church/Congregation - CASTLETOWNBERE** > Baptism of DANIEL MURPHY of RUSSMACOWEN on 10 N/R 1853 > Back to search results > > | | | > |---|---| > | Name | DANIEL MURPHY | > | Date of Birth | 5 January 1853 (BASED ON OTHER DATE INFORMATION) | > | Address | RUSSMACOWEN | > | Father | JAMES MURPHY | > | Mother | MARGARET MURPHY | > > **Further details in the record** > > | | | > |---|---| > | Child Denomination | RC | > | Father Occupation | NR | > | Sponsor 1 | DENIS SULLIVAN | > | Sponsor 1 Address | NR | > | Sponsor 2 | MARY SULLIVANN | > | Sponsor 2 Address | NR | > > **About the record** > > | Book Number | Page | Entry Number | Record_Identifier | > |---|---|---|---| > | 3 | N/R | 8 | KY-RC-BA-160111 | > > The church register page containing this record has not yet been imaged. > Report any error in transcription. Checked at full resolution: "MARGARET MURPHY" is the printed value (sharp black type), and there is no Harrington on this sheet except the faint show-through. "SULLIVANN" is printed with a double N. The heading date reads "10 N/R 1853": day 10, month not recorded. ### (c) Baptism details as shown - **Child:** DANIEL MURPHY. - **Baptism date:** **"10 N/R 1853"**: the 10th, month not recorded, 1853. Date of birth: **5 January 1853 "(BASED ON OTHER DATE INFORMATION)"**. - **Parents:** Father **JAMES MURPHY**; Mother **MARGARET MURPHY**. The image does **not** say Harrington. - **Sponsors:** DENIS SULLIVAN (address NR); MARY SULLIVANN (address NR). - **Townland/address:** **RUSSMACOWEN**. - **Parish:** **CASTLETOWNBERE**, **KERRY (RC)** diocese. It is **not Eyeries**. - No priest field is shown. Father's occupation: NR. Child denomination: RC. Notes (inference, not printed): - **Inference:** with a birth date of 5 January 1853, the baptism "10 N/R 1853" is probably 10 January 1853. - **Inference:** RUSSMACOWEN is presumably Rossmacowen, on the Bantry Bay (south) side of Beara, east of Castletownbere. Ballycrovane is on the north side, in Eyeries parish. - Joe describes Daniel as a child of James Murphy and **Margaret Harrington**. This transcription gives the mother as **MARGARET MURPHY**, in a different parish and townland. **Inference:** either the transcriber copied the father's surname into the mother's field (a common index slip), or this is a different James and Margaret. The register page was not imaged when this was printed, so the image cannot settle it. ### (d) Confidence **High** for the transcription. The type is clear and was checked in enlarged crops. The show-through was identified and kept separate. **Low** for Joe's identification of the parents as James Murphy and Margaret Harrington of Ballycrovane: the page shows Margaret Murphy, Castletownbere parish, Russmacowen. --- ## Image 4: `joe-2026-04-19-part4/image0.jpeg` (email "Part #4", 19 Apr 2026) ### (a) What it is A phone photograph of a **paper printout of an irishgenealogy.ie civil-records detail page** (civil marriage index), lying on a stack of other sheets on a brown cloth surface. It is a **typed index entry, not a register image**. The page offers an "Image" link, but the register image itself is not shown. The banner reads "Irish Genealogy.ie / EXPLORE YOUR FAMILY HISTORY". This is the same layout as image 1. The footer reads: Home / Site Usage Policy / Privacy Policy / Feedback. The department logo in the footer banner reads: "An Roinn / Cultúir, Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta / Department of / Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht" (the last word is partly hidden by the background picture). The browser's print footer (the photo edge clips the first letter of the URL): > [h]ttps://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details-civi...p%3D%26event%3D%26district%3DCork%26submit%3DSearch > 10/14/20, 11:12 PM > Page 1 of 2 - Record reference: **Group Registration ID 2999649**. SR District/Reg Area: **Cork**. - **Inference:** the print date is 14 October 2020, the evening before image 1 was printed. `district%3DCork` in the URL shows the search was limited to the Cork registration district. - Only **page 1 of 2** is photographed. Page 2 is not in this image. ### (b) Verbatim transcription > **SR District/Reg Area - Cork** > Marriage of **PATRICK SULLIVAN** and **CATHERINE MURPHY** > on **24 November 1864** > Back to search results > > | | | > |---|---| > | Party 1 Name | PATRICK SULLIVAN | > | Party 2 Name | CATHERINE MURPHY | > | Date of Event | 24 November 1864 | > | Group Registration ID | 2999649 | > | SR District/Reg Area | Cork | > > Image > Report any error in transcription. > Report problems with image. > Photocopies or official certificates can be obtained via the following link. > Please see the following Frequently Asked Questions and Answers here. Checked at full resolution, in both the heading and the "Date of Event" field: the year is **1864** (the third digit is plainly 6, not 8), and the date is **24 November**. ### (c) Marriage details as shown - **Date:** **24 November 1864**. - **Parties:** PATRICK SULLIVAN and CATHERINE MURPHY. - **Residences, fathers, witnesses, officiating priest:** **not shown**. The index page gives none of them; they would be on the register image behind the "Image" link. - **Registration district:** Cork. Group Registration ID 2999649. Notes (inference, not printed): - **This image does not match Joe's description of "a civil marriage of 23 Feb 1884 of Patrick Sullivan and Catherine Murphy".** The date shown is 24 November 1864, twenty years earlier and a different day and month. Either Joe misdescribed the record, or the 1884 marriage he means is a different record not in these five images. - **Inference:** "Cork" as a Superintendent Registrar's district is the Cork city district. Eyeries and the rest of Beara were registered in the **Castletown** district. Nothing on this page places the marriage in Beara. Patrick Sullivan and Catherine Murphy are very common names in Co. Cork. ### (d) Confidence **High** for the transcription. The type is clear, and the date was checked twice in enlarged crops. **Low** that this is the marriage Joe meant (23 Feb 1884), or that it concerns the Eyeries Murphys: the date, the district and the lack of any residence all point elsewhere. --- ## Image 5: `joe-2026-04-19-part4/image1.jpeg` (email "Part #4", 19 Apr 2026) ### (a) What it is A phone photograph of a **paper printout of an irishgenealogy.ie church-records detail page**, lying on top of a small stack of sheets on a brown cloth surface. It is a **typed transcription (index) table, not a register image**. The banner area is blank. The nav bar reads: Home (Welcome!) | Church Records (To Church Records site) | Research in Ireland (Get Help) | Useful Links (Other sites of interest) | News (and Updates) | Feedback (Contact Us). This is the same older layout as image 2, with no Civil Records tab. The footer reads: Home / Site Usage Policy / Privacy Policy / Feedback. A faint department logo reads: "An Roinn / Ealaíon, Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta[?] / Department of / Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht[?]". - **There is no browser print footer: no URL, no print date, no page count.** - Record reference: **Book Number "E 4", Page 87, Entry Number 5, Record_Identifier KY-RC-BA-232395.** - The page states: "The church register page containing this record has not yet been imaged." - **Show-through:** faint, non-mirrored ghost text from the sheet beneath shows through: "(BASED ON OTHER DATE INFORMATION)", "...COWEN", "...URPHY", "Child Denomination RC", "Father Occupation NR", "Sponsor 1 Address NR", "MARY SULLIVANN", "Sponsor 2 Address NR", "About the record", the column headings, and "N/R 8 KY-RC-BA-1601[?]1". This is the **Daniel Murphy 1853 page (image 3)**. **The ghost text is not part of this record.** ### (b) Verbatim transcription > **Area - KERRY (RC) , Parish/Church/Congregation - EYERIES** > Baptism of JAMES MURPHY of SLEAVE on 29 July 1883 > Back to search results > > | | | > |---|---| > | Name | JAMES MURPHY | > | Date of Birth | 26 July 1883 | > | Address | SLEAVE | > | Father | PATRICK NR | > | Mother | HELEN LYNE | > > **Further details in the record** > > | | | > |---|---| > | Father Occupation | NR | > | Sponsor 1 | MICHAEL MURPHY | > | Sponsor 2 | CATHERINE MURPHY | > | Priest | J O'CONNELL | > > **About the record** > > | Book Number | Page | Entry Number | Record_Identifier | > |---|---|---|---| > | E 4 | 87 | 5 | KY-RC-BA-232395 | > > The church register page containing this record has not yet been imaged. > Report any error in transcription. Checked at full resolution: "HELEN LYNE" (with an H, not Ellen), "PATRICK NR", "J O'CONNELL" (no full stop after J), "E 4 / 87 / 5" and "KY-RC-BA-232395" are all sharp. The date of birth carries **no** "(BASED ON OTHER DATE INFORMATION)" note. That phrase appears only faintly as show-through from the sheet below. ### (c) Baptism details as shown - **Child:** JAMES MURPHY. - **Baptism date:** **29 July 1883**. Date of birth: **26 July 1883**. - **Parents:** Father **"PATRICK NR"** (surname not recorded in the transcription); Mother **"HELEN LYNE"**. - **Sponsors:** **MICHAEL MURPHY**; **CATHERINE MURPHY**. - **Priest:** J O'CONNELL. Father's occupation: NR. - **Townland/address:** **SLEAVE**. - **Parish:** **EYERIES**, **KERRY (RC)** diocese. Notes (inference or repo cross-reference, not printed on the image): - This image **matches Joe's description** (1883 baptism of James, son of Patrick Murphy and Ellen Lyne; sponsors Michael and Catherine Murphy) with two differences. The index spells the mother **HELEN**, and it leaves the father's surname blank ("NR"). - **Repo cross-reference:** the same baptism is already filed as JJM's at `archive/documents/parish_records/1883-07-26_eyeries-co-cork_james-joseph-murphy-baptism/`, from a parish certificate of 27 Oct 1971. That certificate agrees on every point shown here: born 26 July 1883, baptised 29 July 1883 at Eyeries by Rev. J. O'Connell, sponsors Michael and Catherine Murphy, townland Sleave. It gives the parents as "Patrick Murphy" and "Ellen Lyne". - **New detail for the repo:** the register reference **Eyeries book E 4, page 87, entry 5, irishgenealogy.ie record KY-RC-BA-232395**. This identifier does not occur anywhere else in the repository (grep, 2026-09-26). ### (d) Confidence **High** for the transcription. **High** that this is the record Joe describes, and that it is the baptism already filed as JJM's 1883 baptism. --- ## Summary across the five images All five are **phone photos of paper printouts of irishgenealogy.ie pages**, not screenshots and not register images. Four are church-record index pages and one (image 4) is a civil-marriage index page. None of them comes from registers.nli.ie, rootsireland.ie or Ancestry. Two printouts carry print dates of **14 Oct 2020** (image 4) and **15 Oct 2020** (image 1). Images 2, 3 and 5 have no print footer and an older site layout. The show-through suggests images 5, 3 and 2 were photographed as a stack in that order (1883 on top of 1853 on top of 1864). | # | Record as shown | Date as shown | Names as shown | Townland / area | Matches Joe's description? | |---|---|---|---|---|---| | 1 | Baptism, Kilmichael parish, Cork & Ross (RC); CR-RC-BA-189462 | N/R November 1846 | Kate Murphy; father James Murphy; mother "MARY -"; sponsors James Murphy, "JUDE -" | none (N/R) | **Partly.** Kate 1846 is right, but the mother's surname is blank (no "Leary") and the parish is Kilmichael (Cork & Ross), not Eyeries. **The 1834 marriage is not in this image.** | | 2 | Baptism, Eyeries, Kerry (RC); Eyeries 3 / p.13 / entry 8; KY-RC-BA-230035 | 28 May 1864 | Michael Murphy; father "JAMES NR"; mother Margaret Harrington; sponsors "BARTHOLOMEW NR", "MARY NR"; priest Michael O'Reilly | Ballycrovane | **Yes** (Michael to James and Margaret Harrington).
