Ellen Lyne (informant at Myles Lyne's death, Ardgroom 1872)

family confidence: 50 — candidate (user review)Lyne (paternal in-law via Ellen Lyne Murphy)

Named informant on Myles Lyne's 1872 Kilcatherine RD death return (No. 400): "Present at Death, Ardgroom." 2026-10-03: Myles Lyne (d. 1872) is now recorded as the husband of Margaret Shea, who outlived him, so this Ellen was not his wife, as the record first supposed. She may be his stepdaughter Ellen (the later Mrs. Patrick Murphy), then a child of about 8 to 13, or another Ellen Lyne of his first family (a daughter, or a son's wife). Not settled. Claude's estimate that she is the stepdaughter: about 35, because informants were usually adults. Kept as a separate record.
