The CLAUDE.md framework, now two James J. Murphys after A and C were merged, has the user's identification anchored to the LA-d. 1938 James Joseph Murphy (b. 1883 Ardgroom). 2. **Patrick and Ellen** are confirmed as Pat the bartender (d. 1912) and Ellen Murphy (d. 1935), per existing CLAUDE.md. 3. **James Joseph Murphy** was born **Ardgroom, Co. Cork** (a parish on the Beara peninsula, immediately west of Castletown- bere and Eyeries) — places now in the archive's place vocab. 4. **Marriage of Patrick and Ellen**: 13 Feb 1881 Ardgroom — gives a hard date for the family's pre-emigration life. 5. **James Joseph Murphy emigrated 1891-1892** (the GEDCOM has both arrival dates; the 1892 New York arrival has a Microfilm Serial reference). ## What the GEDCOM did NOT resolve (yet) - **Ellen's surname (maiden name)** — needs review against the GEDCOM (the parser has the name but the report didn't surface it here; check `gedcom_id` on `person_ellen_murphy_fox_hotel_1935` for the link-back). - **The double-Kelly-marriage hypothesis** — RETIRED. It rested on the wrong premise that B (1927-d James J. Murphy of 79 Missoula) married Agnes Kelly in 1908. The GEDCOM records Agnes Bridget Kelly as C's wife (m. 19 Oct 1908, Butte) and as a daughter of John Kelly and Mary Chatham Kelly. B's 1927 widow, Mrs. Agnes Murphy, was a different Agnes. - **The relationship (if any) to the Ballycrovane Murphys** in the GEDCOM around line 48438 — James Murphy + Julia O'Sullivan-Seer family. They share the same parish region (Beara) but the GEDCOM treats them as a separate family.
