Also known as: Patrick Lyne
family confidence: 50 — candidate (user review)Lyne (paternal in-law via Ellen Lyne Murphy)
Per his 1872 Tuosist parish baptismal record (Co. Kerry): b. 7 April 1872 at Gurtavallig, Tuosist; father Christopher Lyne (= the same Christopher who d. NY 1887 per the estate probate), mother Mary Shea, godfather James Sheehan, godmother Mary Sheehan, priest R. Scanlan. Almost certainly the same Patrick Lyne who served as JJM's 1909 AOH Division 2 sentinel ("James Murphy president of AOH and Patrick Lyne sentinel" per existing archive clipping). Emigrated from Kerry to Butte by 1909. Plausibly JJM's second cousin via the Shea grandmother line (his mother Mary Shea + JJM's grandmother Margaret Shea may be Shea sisters or cousins).
