Lou Wilson (pallbearer for Ellen Murphy, 1935)
Also known as: Lou Wilson
family confidence: 0 — not family / context
Possibly the same man as Lewis 'Lew' Wilson of Pony and Butte (person_lewis_wilson_pony_electrician): estimate 40. For: Lewis lived in Butte by 1931-33 (a 1931 city directory cited by the family tree; his 1944 funeral report says he moved to Butte on retiring in 1933, his obituary that he had lived there 22 years), and his daughter Julia B. Wilson married Ellen's son Daniel L. Murphy on 18 Aug 1936, the license naming him 'Lew Wilson'. Against: both 1935 reports print 'Lou', the usual short form of Louis; the family tree places Julia in Pony in April 1935, so the families' acquaintance by August 1935 is not shown; his own funeral in 1944 was conducted by 'the Rev. Mr. A. C. Caton' at the White chapel, by its style a Protestant service, while the other pallbearers known to the archive (Judge Lynch, James M. Brown, Phil Sullivan) were Irish Catholic men of her sons' circle; Wilson is a common name and no Butte directory of 1935 is filed. What would settle it: the 1935 Butte city directory (how many Lou, Louis or Lewis Wilsons), or a report of the funeral that names his town. Merge into Lewis Wilson's record if that confirms him. Record created 4 Oct 2026 (full analysis, promoted names, batch b10b).
